CO2inhaler instructions

How to run controlled CO2 sessions with the CO2inhaler — starting doses, session timing, and the safety essentials for handling CO2 at home.

CO2inhaler instructions

  • Begin at low concentrations (1–2%).
  • Keep sessions brief: 5–10 minutes, 1 to 4 times per day.
  • Practice interval training by alternating elevated CO2 (10–20 seconds) with easier breathing periods.
  • Avoid excessive duration or high concentrations. Listen to your body.

Safety guidelines

System inspection

  • Examine all connection points for leaks: regulator-to-tank, hose-to-regulator, and inflation gun attachments.
  • Use auditory detection or a soapy water spray to identify leaks by bubble formation.

Storage & tank management

  • Do not store your CO2 tank where the temperature exceeds 125°F (51.7°C).
  • Turn off the tank when not actively filling.

Operation

  • Verify the neck seal is tight enough to prevent CO2 escape (when used with the suit).
  • Make sure the zipper is pulled down all the way completely.
  • Apply TiZip lubricant if the zipper becomes difficult.
  • Ensure adequate room ventilation.
  • Do not place your head inside the suit until the CO2 is fully dispersed.

Recommended usage

  1. 1Use 30–60 minute suit sessions, 3–5 times weekly (or short 5–10 minute inhaler sessions).
  2. 2Protect the neck seal; avoid wearing jewelry or watches.
  3. 3Wear minimal clothing for optimal CO2 penetration.
  4. 4Clean by turning the suit inside-out and using steam or a cleaning solution.
  5. 5Resize the neck seal if needed.
  6. 6Hydrate after each session.
  7. 7Enhance circulation beforehand — exercise, temperature therapy, or a heat mat.

CO2 tank safety

  • Tank pressure is approximately 860 psi at room temperature.
  • Standard cylinders contain roughly 20 lbs of liquid CO2.
  • 2 lbs of liquid CO2 expand to about 20 cubic feet of pure CO2 gas (a 535:1 rate).
  • CO2 settles in low areas — good room ventilation is important.

Use CO2 safely

Use only food-grade CO2, keep the room well ventilated, and never place your head inside the suit until the CO2 has aired out. If anything is unclear, reach our team before your session.
